Sidney Crosby scored three goals and Marc-Andre Fleury made 21 saves to lead the Pittsburgh Penguins to a 4-0 win over the Florida Panthers in Sunday matinee action at PPG Paints Arena.
After Patric Hornqvist opened the scoring at 16:44 of the first period by batting Phil Kessel’s over the net pass out of the air and by James Reimer, Crosby scored twice in a 1:52 span late in the second to put the game away.
Crosby got loose and easily scored again to notch his tenth career hat trick, and reach the 40-goal mark, five minutes into the final frame to complete the scoring.
