After falling in overtime Friday night in Hartford, the Portland Pirates dropped a 2-1 decision in Bridgeport with Sound Tigers forward Alan Quine delivering the game-winning goal, on a power play, three minutes into the extra session.
Quine's goal was set up by Tanner Fritz, and sent the reeling Pirates to their eighth straight defeat. The last time Portland won was on February 28th, when they beat Springfield 4-2. Kyle Rau was called for hooking to give Bridgeport the man-advantage.
Mike Halmo staked the Sound Tigers to a first period lead when he scored at the 13:06 mark.
