The Bridgeport Sound Tigers skated to a 5-2 home ice win over the Springfield Thunderbirds last night, ending Florida’s farm team’s six-game winning streak and handing the T-Birds its first loss in regulation of the young season.
Tom Kuhnhackl scored twice and added an assist in his first AHL appearance of the season, and Josh Ho-Sang, Michael Dal Colle and Mike Sislo each contributed a goal and assist.
Both of Springfield’s goals came on the power play, with Dryden Hunt tying the game at one in first period from Jayce Hawryluk and Anthony Greco.
