MIAMI (Feb. 18, 2020) - The number of FIU football alum playing in the professional ranks continues to grow as five Panthers have earned roster spots in the XFL.
The inaugural season of the XFL kicked off earlier this month with Isame Faciane (Houston Roughnecks), Jeremiah McKinnon (New York Guardians), Anthony Johnson (Seattle Dragons), Bryce Canady (Tampa Bay Vipers) and Pharoah McKever (Tampa Bay Vipers) making up FIU's representatives in the XFL.
In addition to FIU's five XFL athletes, four Panthers are currently playing in the NFL. T.Y. Hilton, Johnathan Cyprien, Jonnu Smith and Alex McGough round out the list of NFL players, with more soon to follow after this year's NFL Draft.
