GAINESVILLE, Fla. — FIU's women's indoor track and field program competed at the Jimmy Carnes Invitational on Friday, opening its 2025 slate.
The Panthers competed in their first event of the 2025 calendar year and racked up two event victories and a combined seven top-three finishes.
Michaelle Valentin headlined the FIU finishers with a first-place finish in the weight throw, notching a mark of 20.74 meters, setting a facility record. Her mark is currently 10th in all of the NCAA.
