MIAMI, Fla. - The FIU women's tennis team wrapped up its first day of action at the FIU Invitational on Friday, as the Panthers' day was highlighted by notching two of three doubles wins against USF, in addition to a pair of singles wins against Missouri at the FIU Tennis Courts.
Friday kicked off with doubles action, seeing the Panther square off with the Bulls in two matches, while one FIU tandem faced off with a Missouri duo, as freshmen Ekaterina Khairutdinova and Katerina Mandelikova collected a 6-4 win over USF's Ireland Simme and Kiana Mokhtari for their first victory together, followed by Kristina Miletic and Kamila Umarova downing USF's Sabrina Ibarra and Margriet Timmermans, 6-2.
