MIAMI (Feb. 10, 2022) - The FIU women's basketball team secured a big victory at home against Marshall on Thursday night in thrilling fashion, as the Panthers defeated the Thundering Herd by a score of 70-66.
With the win, FIU improved its record to 12-10 on the year (4-7 Conference USA) and 10-4 at the Ocean Bank Convocation Center. Marshall fell to 11-10 and 6-6 in the league.
FIU's was propelled by an incredible shooting night from Ariel Colon, who cooked for a season-high 31 points on a blazing 14-of-16 attempts from the floor, including 4-for-6 from beyond the arc.
