MIAMI - FIU Women's Basketball falls in the championship matchup of the FIU Thanksgiving Classic to Abilene Christian, 87-67.
The game started off as a back-and-forth affair, with the game tied at 13 with 4:33 left in the first quarter, until ACU used a 12-0 run to take the lead, heading into the next frame, 25-13.
FIU fought back in the second quarter, out-scoring the Wildcats 20-17 in the second quarter, with five Panthers scoring in the frame, led by junior Parris Atkins with six points. The Arkansas-native ended in double-digits with 15 points, tacking on three rebounds, five assists and four steals.
