MIAMI — FIU's volleyball program secured a comeback five-set victory over Liberty to complete a two-match sweep of the Flames in Conference USA (CUSA) play on Wednesday afternoon.
The Panthers (5-20, 3-9 CUSA) erased a 2-0 match deficit with set victories of 25-10, 25-20 and 15-10, respectively. FIU also won its matchup on Tuesday with the Flames (11-13, 5-7 CUSA) 3-1 and completed its first two-match sweep in CUSA play this season.
FIU had 17 aces in the match, the most for the program since the Panthers recorded 16 on Sept. 3, 2010 vs. South Dakota State.
