MIAMI (Dec. 9, 2015) – Senior Karin Tomeckova, who is taking a gap year in preparation for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio, represented her home country of Slovakia in the 2015 European Short Course Championships in Netanya, Israel, last week (Dec. 2-6).
The native of Bratislava was one of 500 participating athletes from 48 different countries. The five-day event was held at the brand new swimming complex of the Wingate Institute.
Tomeckova registered personal-bests in the 50-yard backstroke (28.84), the 100-yard backstroke (59.72), the 200-yard backstroke (2:09.15) and the 100 individual medley (1:02.
