MIAMI - FIU freshman swimmer Sally Olsson and diver Brooke Megdall were recognized as the American Athletic Conference (AAC) Freshman Swimmer and Diver of the Week, respectively, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday afternoon.
The Panthers wrapped up competition at the Purdue Invitational this past week, securing a second-place finish—their highest finish at the event since 2019.
Olsson, a native of Rydbohlom, Sweden, earned her first NCAA "B" cut of her collegiate career, placing third in the 200 breaststroke with a personal-best time of 2:12.30.
Megdall, from Windsor, Ontario, Canada, earned her third consecutive Freshman Diver of the Week honor after posting a personal-best score of 242.
