BOCA RATON, Florida (April 29, 2022) – In damp conditions for baseball, the FIU baseball team fell 7-1 in the series opener against the FAU Owls.
Ruben Carpio tallied his second consecutive two-hit game, while Alec Sanchez, Jorge Ramirez and Robert Sotolongo each collected a base hit on the night. Steven Ondina also worked two walks on the night from the leadoff spot.
In a losing effort, Panther starter Patrick Pridgen surrendered three runs over five innings of work, while fanning 10 Owls in the process.
