With a few months under his belt since he was named head basketball coach at FIU, and the July recruiting period ending, we had the opportunity to sit down with Ballard to talk about his transition to South Florida, his plans for the program, and some of his experiences – and mentors – that have helped to put him in position for his first head coaching job.
