MIAMI (March 26, 2021) - The FIU track and field team is set to continue its outdoor campaign, competing at the Hurricane Collegiate Invitational Saturday at Cobb Stadium in Coral Gables.
The Panthers are coming off an impressive outdoor debut that saw freshman Rhema Otabor set a school record in the javelin, while attaining the fourth-best mark in the NCAA.
Also in the throws, sophomore Desmond Dorceus excelled on the weekend, winning the hammer and placing second in the shot put and discus.
In addition to those performances, throughout the course of the weekend the Panthers earned victories from Filippa Miller in the pole vault, Eliseo Torres in the 3000m, Thomas Morreal in the high jump, Jason Rotger in the pole vault, Harrison Mancke in the hammer throw, and Queshun Riggins in the long jump.
