MIAMI (March 8, 2022) – The FIU baseball team fell in midweek action to the Miami (FL) Hurricanes on Tuesday night by a score of 12-5.
In his first start as a Panther, Carlos Lequerica dazzled on the mound striking out the side in each of the first two innings. Lequerica finished the outing tossing four innings of shutout ball while only allowing two hits and fanning six.
The FIU bats started equally as fast with Robert Sotolongo doubling down the right field line to score Alec Sanchez and give FIU an early 1-0 advantage.
