CORAL GABLES, Fla (March 19, 2022) - The FIU track and field program wrapped up the opening weekend of the outdoor season at the Hurricane Invitational, hosted by the University of Miami.
Junior Tyler Rhodes set a personal best in the 110 hurdles, finishing in 14.34 to take the top college mark in the meet, besting competitors from Pitt, Purdue, and St. Thomas.
In the women's hammer, Michaelle Valentin, competing unattached this meet, took the second spot with a mark of 57.10m. In the men's shotput, Desmond Dorceus earned a second place finish with a throw of 16.
