MIAMI (January 27, 2017) – Senior Pablo Espitia turned in a solid performance on Friday during the first day of competition at the Thundering Herd Invitational, hosted by Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia.
Espitia is in second place in the heptathlon with 2,738 points, 40 points behind the first-place competitor. The Miami native posted three top-three finishes in the four events that took place during day one. He took first in the 60m with a time of 7.18 and second in the shot put with a throw of 12.46m. He finished the day with a third-place finish in the high jump, posting a height of 1.
