DALLAS (Nov. 25, 2019) – FIU men's basketball's Osasumwen Osaghae was named the Conference USA Player of the Week, the league announced Monday afternoon. This is the first weekly honor of the season for the senior.
Osaghae helped FIU to a 2-1 record at the Battle for the Capital Tournament last week. The senior earned all-tournament recognition, averaging 9.3 rebounds while going 15-18 from the field during the week. Osaghae recorded his first collegiate three-pointer, helping FIU to score a program-record 19 shots from behind-the-arc against Cleveland State. In just 15 minutes played at CSU, he recorded his first double-double this season, logging 10 rebounds and 13 points.
