Osaghae Named C-USA Defensive Player of the Year

DALLAS (March 10, 2020) – Following a monster senior season, FIU forward Osasumwen Osaghae received the coveted Conference USA Defensive Player of the Year award, the league announced on Tuesday. It is the first-ever C-USA superlative honor to be awarded to a Panther player.

Osaghae joins Freddy Asprilla (2009 Sun Belt Freshman of the Year) and Quincy Gamble (1997 A-SUN Newcomer of the Year) as the only players in program history to earn conference superlative awards.
