NORFOLK, Virginia (February 2, 2017) – The FIU men's basketball team led for more than half the game on Thursday night against Old Dominion, but couldn't hang on down the stretch as ODU handed the Panthers a 64-57 loss in front of 5,757 at the Ted Constant Convention Center.
FIU drops to 5-17 on the year and 1-8 in Conference USA, while the Monarchs improved to 14-8 and 7-3 in league play.
Donte McGill fell just one-point shy of his 22nd career 20-point game with a game-high 19 points. Michael Kessens added 13 points and a game-high 12 rebounds for his eighth double-double of the season and his 21st of his career.
