The Basics
- The No. 9-ranked – and third seeded – FIU beach volleyball team returned to the court on Friday for the first day of the 2019 Coastal Collegiate Sports Association (CCSA) Tournament at the Lakepoint Sporting Community in Emerson, Georgia. The Panthers, got their pool play off to a good start, going 2-0 against the 10-seed UAB (5-0) and No. 19 – and 10th seeded – Florida Atlantic (3-2). FIU closes the day with a 16-10 record on the year, and winners of four of its last five and five of its last seven.
