MIAMI – The No. 35 FIU women's tennis team dropped its first dual match in nearly two months with a 4-2 loss vs. Yale on Tuesday afternoon at the FIU Tennis Center.
The Panthers opened play strong as they claimed the doubles point in dominating fashion. and blanked Yale's Chelsea Kung and Jessie Gong 6-0 in the No. 1 match, before and posted a solid 6-2 victory at No. 2 over Mirabelle Brettkelly and Rhea Shrivasterra.
FIU only managed one win in singles action with Umarova putting together a 7-5, 6-0 straight set win over Gong in the No.
