FORT MYERS, Florida (Oct. 8, 2019) - The No. 15 ranked FIU men's soccer team won a double-overtime thriller in Fort Myers on Tuesday night, as the Panthers defeated FGCU by a score of 3-2 on the road.
FIU remains undefeated and improves to 8-0-3 on the season, while the Eagles fall to 4-6-2.
"A great team win tonight against a good FGCU side," said Head Coach Kevin Nylen. "We found a way to win and were resilient in doing such. On to Kentucky now."
The Panthers were clicking early on Tuesday night as they scored two quick goals in the first 15 minutes to go up 2-0 over the Eagles.
