FORT WORTH (Oct. 15, 2018) - FIU quarterback James Morgan was named to the Davey O'Brien Award's "Great 8" quarterbacks list after pushing the Panthers past Middle Tennessee, 24-21, on Saturday.
Morgan posted his second-straight 300-yard passing game, including a 23-yard touchdown pass with 3:55 to go to lead FIU to a 24-21 win over MT in a battle for first-place in the C-USA East. Morgan finished the game with 311 yards, on 27-of-36 passing and two scores, as the Panther signal caller earned his 14th touchdown pass of the season. The 14 touchdown passes are the most by any Panther QB in their first six games at FIU.
