IRVING, Texas - FIU men's soccer forward Bernardo Dos Santos Monteiro was named the American Athletic Conference offensive player of the week as announced by the league office Monday.
The honors follow a stellar week for the senior forward logging a combined two goals with an assist as FIU won a pair of games, taking down #10 UCF on Sept. 11 and at Central Arkansas on Sep. 15.
In the thrilling upset 4-3 win vs #10 UCF, Dos Santos Monteiro netted his first goal of the season, scoring in the 18th minute.
