MIAMI — FIU's men's basketball program used a 47-point first half to defeat Utah Tech 80-66 on Monday afternoon inside the Ocean Bank Convocation Center.
The Panthers ended both their non-conference slate and the 2024 calendar year on a high note with a convincing 14-point win over the Trailblazers. FIU held Utah Tech to 19 first-half points and exploded for 47 points in the opening 20 minutes, taking a 28-point cushion to the halftime locker room.
The Panthers extended their advantage to 30 early on in the second half and cruised to victory, their third-straight at home.
