MIAMI – FIU's Megan Kugelman (5-7) struck out six and allowed one run in a complete game outing to lead the Panthers (21-21, 5-6 C-USA) to a 6-1 victory over Florida Atlantic (21-19, 9-5 C-USA) in game one of a doubleheader at Felsberg Field. In game two, FIU's Shannon Saile (Land O'Lakes, Fla.) recorded a career-high 18 strikeouts in a 10-inning marathon, but FAU got an RBI single in the top of the 10th inning to even the series and edge the Panthers, 1-0.
