CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Denver Jones hit the go-ahead bucket with 29.6 seconds left en route to a team-high 22 points to lift the FIU men's basketball to its first season sweep of Charlotte (13-9, 4-7 C-USA) since 2018 with a 57-54 victory inside Halton Arena on Thursday night. The win marks FIU's fourth straight, and second straight on the road, as the Panthers move to 12-11 and 6-6 in the Conference USA.
FIU's four-game streak through C-USA play matches its longest league win streak since 2019, as a win over UAB on Saturday would set the Panthers' longest Conference USA win streak in program history at five games.
