DALLAS (May 7, 2019) - After her stellar first season with the Panthers, FIU softball's Alexis Johns was named to the Conference USA All-Freshman Team, the league announced on Tuesday.
Johns was one of 11 selections for the C-USA All-Freshman squad.
The Sarasota, Florida native played in 48 of FIU's games on the year, as she helped the Panthers to a winning season overall. Johns ranked third on the squad in batting average in her first year, after earning a .281 mark at the plate. The freshman hit .400 in C-USA games, which ranked fifth in the league and second among conference freshmen.
