MIAMI (April 25, 2020) - FIU's James Morgan was selected by the New York Jets in the fourth round of the NFL Draft on Saturday, as the former Panther quarterback was picked 125th overall.
With the selection on Saturday, Morgan becomes the highest-drafted quarterback in program history. Morgan joins Alex McGough, who was picked in the seventh round of 2018's NFL Draft by the Seattle Seahawks as the only Panther quarterbacks to be selected in FIU history. Overall, Morgan is FIU's fourth-highest NFL Draft pick.
While at FIU, Morgan led the Panthers to back-to-back bowl games and threw for 40 touchdowns in only two seasons to rank third all-time in program history.
