MIAMI (February 2, 2017) -- In its first home game in 19 days, the FIU women's basketball team struggled to find the bottom of the basket to start in an 86-64 home loss to Old Dominion Thursday night in Conference USA action on Lime Court at FIU Arena. The loss slips the Panthers' record to 5-15 overall, 3-6 in league games. ODU improves to 11-10 on the season, 6-4 in C-USA.
In the blink of an eye, ODU scored the game's first 22 points, with Jennie Simms, the league's leading scorer, pouring in 11 of those, including the first eight of the game.
