LEXINGTON, Kentucky (May 5, 2022) – The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) announced the 2022 class of Top Flight awards winners on Thursday. FIU's Giada Bianchi and Paige Kalkhoff received Flight 1 honors, while Lisa Luini and Kendall Mather were named to Flight 5.

Bianchi and Kalkhoff went 24-8 on court one for the season including wins over then-ranked No. 4 Loyola Marymount, No. 5 LSU, No. 10 FAU and two wins over No. 19 Stetson. The duo's efforts helped FIU close out the year 22-11.
