LYNCHBURG, Va. – Sophomore quarterback ran for a one-yard touchdown with 1:42 left in regulation to help the FIU football team erase a 14-point deficit in the fourth quarter and force overtime before coming up just short by a 31-24 margin at Liberty in extra time on Tuesday night.
Liberty escaped with the victory after scoring on a nine-yard run by Kaidon Salter on its first overtime possession and then forced and recovered a fumble on the Panthers' following possession in the extra period.
