DALLAS, Texas - FIU's Karissa Kilby was tabbed the Conference USA Women's Golfer of the Week on Wednesday afternoon, as announced by the league office, after leading FIU with a top-10 finish in its season-opening tournament at the Coeur d'Alene Invitational on Sept. 18-20.
The nod marks the first Golfer of the Week honor for Kilby in her career at FIU.
Kilby, a native of Honolulu, Hawaii, continued her momentum after a promising freshman campaign, finishing even with a score of 213 behind a tournament-best 13 birdies and career low first-round 67 to lead the Panthers tied for eighth individually after Tuesday's final round in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.
