MIAMI – FIU women's tennis senior Kamila Umarova was selected to the six-member 2022 Conference USA Women's Tennis All-Academic Team, which was announced by league officials on Thursday.
Umarova is a back-to-back Conference USA All-Academic choice after previously earning the honor last season.
Umarova is an accounting major and boasts a 3.83 overall grade point average. She is a three-time C-USA Honor Roll honoree and Commissioner Academic honoree.
On the court, she has recorded an unblemished 15-0 mark at No. 2 singles. In doubles action, she has paired up this season with teammate Andjela Skrobonja to post a 13-4 mark in the number one doubles position – one season after the same pair were selected as the doubles pair of the 2021 Conference USA Championship.
