DALLAS (June 11, 2019) – Former FIU men's basketball player, Elhadji Dieng (Mbour, Senegal) has been named by Conference USA as one of 14 recipients for the prestigious Jim Castañeda Postgraduate Scholarship, the league announced.

In his two years with the Panthers, Dieng played in 55 games, tallying a .471 field goal percentage. This past season, Dieng averaged 2.2 points and 2.4 rebounds-per-game. He recorded a career-high 11 points in his final collegiate game, in the Blue & Gold, in the second round of the Collegeinsider.
