MIAMI – The FIU men's soccer team placed two players on the All-Conference USA Preseason Team, as announced by the league office on Tuesday. Headlining the duo is senior forward Santiago Patino (Orlando, Fla./Freedom) who was tabbed the C-USA Preseason Offensive Player of the Year. Joining Patino on the preseason team is junior midfielder Joris Ahlinvi (Gujan-Mestras, France/Esarc Evolution).
"I'm happy for Santi and Joris," said FIU men's soccer Head Coach Kevin Nylen. "It shows that the league knows who they are and that they have had success in previous seasons, and now can they come into the 2018 season and have an effect on the team moving forward.
