MIAMI (March 7, 2016) – FIU men's basketball standout Adrian Diaz has been named to the All-Conference USA Second Team, as announced by the league office Monday.
Diaz, a 6-foot-11 senior forward from Miami, is currently third on the team in scoring, averaging 15.3 points-per-game, and leads the team in field goal percentage (65.2 percent, 176-0f-270), rebounding (7.7 rebounds-per-game) and blocked shots (2.9). Diaz is also 11th in C-USA in scoring, first in field goal percentage, tied for sixth in rebounding, and second in blocked shots.
The "Hialeah Hamer" as he is affectionately known, has scored in double figures in 27 of the 31 games he has played in this season, and has netted 20-or-more points five times, including a season-high 24 points against Stetson on Nov.
