MIAMI, Florida (December 15, 2016) – The FIU men's basketball team battled to the end but down the stretch fell just short in a tough hard-fought 75-68 loss to Georgia Southern on Thursday night at Lime Court at FIU Arena. The setback drops the Panthers to 3-8 on the year while the Eagles improve to 6-5.
Donte McGill led the scoring for both teams with a game-high 21 points, including 14 points in the second half, while Kimar Williams added 15 points in the loss. Michael Kessens chipped in with 12 points and 10 rebounds for his sixth double-double in an FIU uniform and the 19th of his collegiate career.
