MIAMI (Jan. 9 2016) – The FIU men's basketball team (8-8, 2-1 C-USA) came into Saturday's game at Marshall as one of four unbeaten teams in Conference USA, while looking to improve to 3-0 in league play for the first time since the 2010-11 season. Marshall, however, had other plans as it handed FIU a 99-81 loss in front of 5,127 at the Cam Henderson Center.
The loss snapped the Panthers' four-game winning streak, it's longest since a six-game winning streak during the 2013-14 campaign.
Daviyon Draper scored a career-high 25 points, on 11-of-21 shooting from the field and 3-of-4 from the free-throw line.
