Miami, Fla.- Junior forward Sariana Rodriguez Camacho scored a team high 13 points on 5-8 shooting (63%) from the field, though, the FIU Women's Basketball team dropped its home contest against the Louisiana Tech University, 69-62, at the Ocean Bank Convocation Center Thursday evening.
The loss drops FIU to 12-16 overall and 7-12 in conference action, while the Lady Techsters (18-11, 11-8 C-USA) have won six of their last seven games.
Rodriguez Camacho came off the bench to lead the Panthers in scoring and was 3-6 from three-point range. With 4:22 left in the fourth quarter, the Panthers were trailing 60-48 and Rodriguez Camacho scored 10 consecutive points on two three pointers and a layup to cut the lead in half, 63-58.
