Boca Raton, Fla. – The FIU women's soccer team traveled to Boca Raton to take on in-state rival Florida Atlantic, beating the Owls, 2-1. The victory marks the first winning result for the Panthers against Florida Atlantic since the 2013 season.
The Panthers started off the game with technical offense, keeping possession for the majority of the first half. FIU started off the scoring at the 10:03 mark, when senior Noemi Paquin stole the ball from a Florida Atlantic defender and promptly found the back of the net to give the Panthers a 1-0 lead.
