NORFOLK, Virginia (April 21, 2019) – The FIU baseball team fell on Sunday afternoon in a 7-2 decision to Old Dominion, as the Panthers dropped their first series of the month of April.
The Panthers drop to 17-22 and 7-11 in Conference USA play. Old Dominion moves to 24-15 overall and 7-11 on the year.
FIU's Franco Aleman suffered the loss. The freshman pitched 5.2 innings of two-run ball with four strikeouts. Monarchs' starter Ryne Moore was given the victory after pitching six innings.
Austin Shenton extended this hitting streak to 12 games in the fifth inning with a single to center as part of his two-hit day.
