NORFOLK, Virginia (Jan. 23, 2020) – The FIU men's basketball team battled Old Dominion in a Conference USA contest at Chartway Arena on Thursday night. The Panthers topped the Monarchs 83-80 for their first road victory in league play.
With the win, FIU moved to 14-6 for the season and 5-2 against conference opponents. ODU dropped to 7-13 overall and 3-4 against C-USA teams.
The Panthers began the contest shooting 37.5% from the field and led the ODU 39-35 at the half. Trejon Jacob led the Panthers with eight points and five rebounds in the opening stanza.
