MIAMI – FIU football head coach Mike MacIntyre has officially named DeMarcus Van Dyke as the newest addition to the Panthers' coaching staff on Thursday. Van Dyke will have the title of assistant coach with his primary responsibility overseeing the cornerbacks.
"We are really excited to have DVD (DeMarcus Van Dyke) joining us," MacIntyre said. "He is well known in the Miami area having played at Monsignor Pace and the University of Miami before going on to play in with the Raiders, Atlanta and others in the NFL. I have gotten to know him really well during my one and a half years here and I am really excited to have him coaching our corners.
