BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (Nov. 5, 2016) -- WKU scored 21 unanswered points in the second quarter and rolled to a 49-21 win over FIU Saturday night at Houchens Industries-L.T. Smith Stadium in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
The Hilltoppers led 14-7 at the start of the second quarter before scoring 21 points to finish the first half.
WKU got a pair of rushing touchdowns in the first quarter. Quinton Baker had a 10-yard run and Anthony Wales punched it in from one yard out to stake the Hilltoppers to a 14-0 lead.
FIU came back on the strength of quarterback Maurice Alexander's legs.
