MIAMI (Feb. 15, 2019) – The FIU baseball team platted seven runs on Opening Night, but couldn't hold off Stony Brook as the Seawolves took a 13-7 decision over the Panthers.
With the loss, FIU falls to 0-1 on the year, while Stony Brook moves to 1-0 on the young season.
Stony Brook's Greg Marino earned the win, after pitching five innings and allowing just one run on the night before being pulled. FIU's Logan Allen earned the loss, after giving up four runs in five innings on the mound.
