BOCA RATON, Florida (May 1, 2022) – The FIU Baseball team fell 11-5 in Sunday's rubber match with the Owls of FAU.
Despite the defeat, the Panther bats tallied the second-most hits in a game this season with 14 base knocks.
Centerfielder Alec Sanchez led the Panther offense with his first three-hit game of the year while the FIU trio of Jorge Ramirez, Noel Perez and Jayden Melendez each had a multi-hit afternoon.
Ramirez spearheaded the scoring with two runs driven in including his fifth home run of the campaign in the sixth inning.
