WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (December 11, 2022) - The FIU track and field program opened its 2022 indoor campaign Saturday with a number of impressive performances at the Purdue Edmonds-Wilt Invitational, including victories in the weight throw, pole vault, and shot put.
Sophomore Michaelle Valentin earned a win in the weight throw with a mark of 19.86m - good for third all-time in FIU indoor history. Filippa Miller, coming off Second-Team All-American honors last season, opened her junior campaign with a victory in the pole vault at 4.
