Miami, Fla. - FIU women's soccer won its first ever Conference USA (CUSA) Regular Season Championship on Thursday evening and clinched the No. 1-seed in the CUSA Women's Soccer Tournament after drawing with Jacksonville State, 2-2.
The Panthers end the regular season with their best record since 2012 with an 11-4-2 overall, and their most conference wins since joining CUSA, ending at 6-1-2.
The Panthers saw themselves go down early after the Gamecocks scored a goal in the third minute, going up 1-0. The Panthers and Jacksonville State battled to the half, but FIU trailed 1-0.
